A fully charged 48V electric golf cart can travel 20 to 40 kilometres under normal conditions, depending on the battery type, age, and condition. A lithium-powered vehicle has a superior range compared to a lead-acid one and charges faster.

Electric golf carts are quiet, low-maintenance, and eco-friendly, making them ideal for golf courses, residential estates, and indoor use. Petrol golf carts offer a longer range and higher top speed if needed and are a good option if access to power and charging is limited. Choose based on noise restrictions, fuel costs, and usage patterns, and note that some golf courses are restricting the use of petrol golf carts.

Flooded lead-acid batteries last 3 to 6 years. Lithium batteries, depending on their capacity, are designed to last up to 10 years or more, with a charge cycle capacity of 3000 to 4000 cycles. The actual lifespan depends on usage, maintenance, and climate.

To charge your electric golf cart, connect the external charger to the cart's charging port and a standard 240V outlet, then switch it on. A 240V 10-amp household supply is sufficient for the charger to function properly. Always follow the safety guidelines in your golf cart manual and use only the charger provided with the vehicle.
Some models offer the convenience of an onboard charger system.

Lithium batteries weigh half as much as lead-acid batteries, charge faster, deliver consistent power, and have a much longer cycle life. Although the initial cost is higher, users save on maintenance and battery replacements over time, and no monthly maintenance is required. Lithium batteries are cleaner and do not leak acid, unlike lead-acid batteries, which are known to do so if not maintained.
